Philosophy

Sage Cottage School's philosophy is to guide children in the development of a positive self-image through a unique combination of Montessori, Play-oriented, Science-based, and Self-directed programs.  This will help foster self-confidence, respect of life and environment, love of learning, and socially acceptable behavior.  We strive to be an eco-friendly facility concerned for our planet and children’s future.

Educational Setting

Sage Cottage School encourages the children to learn through playing and working with the materials available to them. We emphasize science oriented activities and play.  Children are encouraged and given opportunities on a daily basis to explore their environment and to work individually or in teams as they learn and play. We spend lots of time exploring and playing outdoors . The Montessori and Play-based curriculum provides children with meaningful and enjoyable experiences to enhance their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
